초록

This study uses computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to investigate the heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of a solar air heater (SAH) equipped with discrete arc-shaped baffles, aiming to optimize the balance between friction losses and heat transfer improvement. The influence of roughness geometric parameters such as the relative roughness pitch (PB/HB) and the angle of attack (alpha) within a Reynolds number (Re) range of 5000 to 15,000 is examined. Other parameters such as relative discrete distance, relative discrete width, and relative roughness height were fixed at the optimized values of 0.67, 1.0, and 0.40, respectively, as derived from previous studies. The results demonstrate that at PB/HB = 1.5 and alpha = 60 degrees, there is a notable improvement in system performance, achieving the highest thermohydraulic performance parameter (eta THPP) of 3.4 in the tested Re range.
