초록

Although perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have exceptional optoelectronic qualities, hysteresis, instability, and short lifespans hinder commercialization. The addition of electron (or hole) transport layers (ETLs or HTLs) to perovskite materials is a promising solution to these problems. Since they have unique qualities and work well with PSCs, two-dimensional (2D) MXenes have become one of the most interesting materials. Only the use of 2D MXenes as ETLs or HTLs in PSCs is covered in this comprehensive review. The main problems with PSCs are first described, and then how charge transport layers-particularly 2D MXenes-address these problems are examined. Additionally, the review explores how 2D MXenes improve device stability, reduce hysteresis, and boost charge extraction efficiency. This review advances the development of reliable and efficient perovskite photovoltaic devices for useful solar energy harvesting applications by synthesizing existing knowledge on 2D MXenes and their role in addressing PSC challenges.
