분위수 회귀모형을 적용한 국내 및 해외 관광수요 결정요인에 관한 연구

초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the determinant of tourism demand and to examine whether the different levels of both domestic and international tourism demand have different determinants by using quantile regression analysis. The data used for this study were gathered from the “In-depth survey report” of “2017 Korea National Tourism Survey”, using a total of 1163 samples for domestic tourism demand and a total of 388 samples for international tourism demand. The empirical results show that time, disposable income, and demographic characteristics are related in different ways with different levels of domestic tourism demand. However, only disposable income is the determinant of international tourism demand. The results from this study suggest that the different strategic access and plan for each level of tourism demand group would be necessary to increase both domestic and international tourism demand.
