초록
This study examines the structural relationship between work-life balance (WLB), subjective well-being, and job engagement among workation participants. Given that workations represent a unique integration of professional tasks and psychological recovery in non-traditional environments, this research specifically targets workation participants to explore how this emerging work modality redefines the impact of WLB on individual outcomes. The research identifies how psychological recovery in a workation environment enhances professional engagement. Structural equation modeling (SEM) results reveal that all WLB dimensions—work-family, work-leisure, and work-growth—significantly increase subjective well-being. Notably, subjective well-being serves as a vital mediator; it fully mediates the relationship between work-family/leisure balance and job engagement, while partially mediating the impact of work-growth balance. These findings suggest that workation should be managed as a strategic recovery tool rather than a mere benefit. Organizations must prioritize participants' emotional well-being to maximize the transition from recovery to job performance.
