초록

This study introduces a novel system within a Building Information Modeling (BIM) environment to rapidly evaluate Outdoor Thermal Comfort (OTC). Traditionally, direct microclimate analysis in the design phase is hindered by cumbersome and resource-intensive processes. By utilizing information from BIM and integrating the COMFA thermal energy budget model, this approach facilitates immediate OTC evaluation. The system automates the Sky View Factor simulation using 3D modeling techniques and utilizes BIM model data to assess the thermal environment. Tested on a university campus, it effectively processes geospatial BIM data to compute microclimate parameters and estimate OTC using COMFA. This research represents a significant advancement in BIM-integrated OTC analysis, streamlining the design feedback process and aiding practitioners in improving outdoor thermal environments amidst climate change challenges.
