초록

Bi-metallic MXene, a two-dimensional material, has gained a lot of interest due to its extraordinary properties, including outstanding conductivity, transparency, exceptional absorbance, and substantial charge storage capacities, all of which offer promising prospects for developing advanced energy harvesting devices. The hydrothermal technique is used to synthesize the bi-metallic MXene (Mo2TiC2Tx)@NiCo-MOF composite (B-MNC). The activated carbon is synthesized using the green synthesis method from bamboo. The electrochemical characterization of the B-MNC electrode is performed in 1 M potassium hydroxide, which shows an admirable specific capacity (Cs) of 1119.92 C g−1. All green (B-MNC//AC) hybrid device revealed remarkable Cs of 278.89 Cg-1 and outstanding power density (PD) and energy density (ED) values of 2050.35 W kg−1 and 35.95 Wh kg−1, respectively. Furthermore, a notable capacity retention of 89 % is obtained after the 8000 cycles. Additionally, the composite was evaluated for HER, ORR, and photochemical applications. The B-MNC electrode showed a Tafel slope of 45 mV dec−1. The nanocomposite electrode revealed a small value of overpotential of 40.42 mV. For the ORR on the B-MNC electrode, the effective electron transfer number ('n') was determined as 4.5. The B-MNC photoelectrode exhibited rapid response and recovery times, along with excellent photoactivity, thus enabling outstanding photo-switching performance. A novel B-MNC electrode material with multiple applications is a remarkable candidate for developing a multifunctional device. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.
