여성 프로야구 팬덤의 문화적 특성에 관한 연구 : 응원 방식과 소속감 형성을 중심으로

초록

This study examines the cultural characteristics of female professional baseball fandom in South Korea, focusing on cheering practices and the formation of belonging. Based on in-depth interviews with six female fans, the research reveals that these women actively construct their fan identities through emotional and creative practices such as handmade goods, SNS content, and personalized cheering. Belonging is cultivated through quasi-familial relationships and emotional intimacy within fan communities, providing psychological safety and support. These findings align with Social Identity Theory and suggest that fandom functions as a relational and emotionally embedded space. Furthermore, female-centered fandom challenges conventional, male-dominated fan models by introducing emotion- and relationship-based dynamics. The study expands theoretical understandings of fandom as a site of self-expression, community, and identity fusion.
