Hybrid supercapacitors (HSC) have appealed considerable academic attention because of their high cyclic stability and power and energy densities compared to traditional storage materials. A hydrothermal synthesis was employed in the current investigation to prepare chromium molybdenum oxide (CrMo2O4) and to synthesize the composite with tin dioxide (SnO2). The initial electrochemical study of the CrMo2O4 composite on SnO2 was conducted in a three-electrode system, yielding a specific capacity (Cs) of 306 C g-1. In hybrid configuration, the device showed the power density of 1491.9 W/kg, energy density of 36 Wh/kg, and specific capacity of 306 C/g with remarkable capacity retention of 85.80 %. In addition, the CrMo2O4@SnO2 sensor had a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.03-0.5 mu M monosodium glutamate (MSG) in both food and buffer samples, compared with the other composites studied. These results reveal that CrMo2O4@SnO2 has the potential to be an effective electrode material for energy storage and utilization, as well as other applications, confirming its status as one of the most appropriate supercapacitor electrode materials.
