앱 인벤터를 활용한 SW프로젝트 교육이 컴퓨팅 사고력 기반 문제해결력과 SW학습 과제가치 인식에 미치는 효과: 인문사회계열 신입생을 대상으로

In the trend of expanding software (SW) education from university to non-major students, this study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of SW project courses using App Inventor for freshmen in humanities and social sciences. Computational thinking-oriented problem-solving skills and perceived SW learning task value were selected as learning outcomes and the pre-post scores were compared. Also, it was analyzed whether there is a difference in computational thinking-oriented problem-solving skills and learning satisfaction according to the level of SW learning task value. Data were collected from 1,010 students who took the courses and voluntarily participated in the research among the humanities and social sciences students at A University in Gyeonggi-do. As a result of t-test analysis, the post-test score of computational thinking-oriented problem-solving skills and the post-test score of the perceived SW learning task were significantly improved compared to each prior score. Moreover, there were significant differences between the two groups which were divided according to the level of perception of SW learning task value in computational thinking-oriented problem-solving skills and learning satisfaction. Based on the research results, it was proposed to design SW education that can provide authentic problem-solving experience while considering the characteristics of non-major students, and to include affective factors as educational outcomes.
