초록

The fabrication of highly effective and long-lasting electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reactions (OER) is an essential research focus for meeting the world's energy demand. In this investigation, a straightforward hydrothermal method was employed to fabricate the rGO/ZnCr2O4 material to enhance the kinetics of water oxidation. The physical analysis was performed to study textural, structural, compositional and morphological assets of the organised material. Furthermore, the electrochemical investigation revealed that the material exhibited an overpotential of 220 mV and an exceptional Tafel slope of 33 mV dec- 1. In the meantime, rGO/ZnCr2O4 displayed notable stability (50 h) for OER in a 1.0 M alkaline medium. The study found that adding rGO to ZnCr2O4 boosted electrical conductivity, OER activity of catalysts and surface area (SA). The rGO/ZnCr2O4 composite's outstanding electrochemical characteristics make it an ideal catalytic material for energy transformation application.
