초록

In this study, we demonstrate the synergistic enhancement of microstructural homogeneity and mechanical strength in silicon suboxide-carbon composite material (SiOx@C) anodes through the incorporation of a novel graphene nanoribbon (GNR)-based conductive agent. GNRs, synthesized via the facile chemical unzipping of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), exhibit an open graphitic structure and a morphology with high aspect ratio, providing robust mechanical support to the electrode while simultaneously mitigating volumetric expansion during cycling. Moreover, the high surface area with hydrophilic functional groups facilitates excellent dispersion within a water-based slurry, resulting in a homogeneous microstructure and intimate contact among the active material, binder, and conductive agent. This combined effect leads to superior electrochemical performance of the SiOx@C anode, attaining a high specific capacity of 1303 mAh g-1 and a capacity retention of 77.5 % after 100 cycles at 0.5C.
