The Relationship Between Golf Participants' Years of Experience and Average Score with Their Exercise Passion

초록

This study aimed to analyze the differences and interactions in exercise passion (obsessive passion and harmonious passion) based on the years of golf experience and average score of golf participants. An online survey was conducted in June 2024, gathering data from 314 golf participants. The data were processed using SPSS/WIN 28.0, performing frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), correlation analysis, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The analysis results are as follows: First, the analysis of exercise passion based on years of experience revealed that participants with over 20 years of experience showed the highest levels of both obsessive and harmonious passion. In particular, harmonious passion was significantly higher in the group with over 20 years of experience compared to other groups. Second, the analysis of exercise passion based on average score indicated that the lower the average score, the higher the levels of both obsessive and harmonious passion. Golfers who scored 80 or below exhibited the highest level of obsessive passion. Third, the interaction between years of experience and average score on exercise passion showed that years of experience did not have a significant impact on obsessive passion but did have a significant impact on harmonious passion. Average score significantly influenced both obsessive and harmonious passion, with a particularly strong effect on harmonious passion.
