This review provides an overview of the fundamental characteristics of Ti3C2Tx MXene and its applications in energy storage and conversion technologies. Initially investigated in 2011, Ti3C2Tx MXene has garnered attention due to its distinctive properties, which render it particularly advantageous for a range of electrochemical applications. Notably, Ti3C2Tx MXene has exhibited considerable efficacy in corrosion-resistant coatings, offering substantial protection in various toxic environments. Its exceptional attributes, including high electrical conductivity and tunability, establish Ti3C2Tx MXene as a promising candidate for use as an electrocatalyst in lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and potassium batteries. This review aims to present the most recent findings, advancements, and future perspectives regarding the role of Ti3C2Tx-based composites in energy storage applications.
