초록

This study was to analyze total knee replacement (TKR) patient's knee function and life satisfaction according to the characteristics. This study was a cross-sectional survey of the characteristics, knee function, and life satisfaction of 60 patients diagnosed with osteoarthritis and waiting for TKR at the Joint Center of a university hospital during April and May in 2015. The patients' characteristics were analyzed by frequency, percentage, and mean, and their knee function and life satisfaction according to the characteristics were analyzed using independent t-test and ANOVA. The mean score for knee function was 2.7 out of 4, and it was not significantly different according to the patients' characteristics. The mean score for life satisfaction was 1.94 out of 3, and it was significantly different according to age. Higher stiffness was observed in those living alone than in those living together with a spouse or offspring. Attention should be paid to the life satisfaction of those in their 70s and 80s waiting for TKR and to stiffness of the knee in those living alone. ©2016 International Information Institute.
